About ToyTruth

ToyTruth is a small, independent site for parents. For each age band we keep a short list of toys we think are worth buying, with a few sentences on why, and we check every toy on the list against the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's recall database each night.

How toys get on the list: we start from public award lists and reviews (for example the Toy Association's Toy of the Year awards and major parenting outlets), then keep only toys we would buy ourselves for that age. Nobody pays to be listed. We are not sent free products. If that ever changes, it will say so on the toy's page. We have not lab-tested any toy on this site. Each write-up comes from the maker's own product information, the award citations we name, and our judgment about what fits an age. Where we have owned or used a toy, the write-up says so.

What we don't do: we don't show prices, we don't take sponsored placements, and we don't call any toy "safe". A recall check is a check against a public database, not a safety test.

Photos: product photos will be added later. Until then each toy shows a simple placeholder.
